Managed Storage: Increase Profitability and Customer Satisfaction
The Solution - Managed Storage
Gridstore is the only storage platform that allows you to reuse existing storage servers and
combine these into a storage grid. This allows an MSP to virtualize a customers existing storage silos and use
these as storage nodes in a grid.
In effect, this enables an MSP to turn the 101 flavors of storage they are grappling with
into a single flavor. Regardless of the underlying storage server, it is managed through a single console as part
of a single storage pool.
Managed Storage allows an MSP to offer low cost storage capacity, that is highly reliable
and simple to manage. This aligns the interests of both the MSP and the customer and provides a platform on which
a customer can grow and the MSP can build a profitable high quality service.
Solution Features :
- Complementary - Virtualize the existing storage / servers into a shared storage grid. Maximize existing investments and increase utilization of these through load balancing.
- Simple to Manage - All storage nodes are virtualized and managed as a single system through a single console - regardless of the scale.
- Integrated Microsoft Management Console - The Gridstore management console is a Microsoft Management Console snap-in and can be configured to sit within your existing management framework.
- Simple Expansion - To add capacity, simply attach a Gridstore storage node to the customers network. Gridstore storage nodes can be shipped directly to your customer and attached by office staff. The capacity can then be remotely allocated as required and capacity can be added without leaving your office.
- Increased Reliability - Gridstore unique redundancy capabilities provides fault tolerance not possible with current systems. Gridstore can be configured to allow many storage nodes to fail while the system continues to operate normally.
- Self Healing - Failed storage nodes are replaced with new low cost nodes that automatically attached to the grid and take over processing. This eliminates any downtime and does not require on site visits for the MSPs.
- Remote Monitoring - The Gridstore console can be configured to monitor thresholds and alerts that can be issued to central monitors via SNMP or WMI events.
