Sustainability at Gridstore

Sustainability is very important to us in all our endeavours.  

We consider sustainability in logistics to be directly linked to our undertaking to permanently reduce CO2 emissions that are harmful to the climate and the environment, to avoid the wastage of resources and to create a balanced symbiosis of ecology and economy.

This undertaking has guided us in the development of Gridstore and accordingly means:  

Energy efficiency

Our robots are equipped with Powercaps as an energy source and feature energy recovery. As such, a large proportion of the energy flows back through the load handling attachment into the Powercaps during lowering movements.

Through the targeted use of lightweight construction in the development of the robot, we have focused on reducing the moving mass, which leads to a reduction in energy consumption in the first step.

Recycling 

Our containers can be sustainably used in the reusable system, are fully recyclable and can be reprocessed into regranulate for new containers.

Our aluminium Gridsystem is characterised by a robust and durable lightweight construction. The system is fully recyclable, scalable and modular. Systems that define a sustainable future.

At Gridstore, we are committed to supplying our customers with ergonomic workplaces in combination with occupational and plant safety.

Sustainably designed workplaces promote employee motivation and prevent damage to health. Superfluous efforts are a thing of the past.

Smart Operation

Logistics software: Our routing software optimises robot routes and therefore delivers higher throughput. Sustainable warehouse strategies therefore result in economical warehouse operations.

Energy use in logistics centres can fluctuate greatly over the course of the day. With intelligent dynamic adjustment it is possible to save energy, in particular in the traversing axis. Smart algorithms analyse order utilisation and automatically adjust the dynamic parameters of the warehouse technology.
