The Shift workstation is the ideal goods-to-person solution for warehouses with low to medium throughputs of up to 150 bins per hour, where direct and flexible provision of products at the workstation is crucial.

Unlike the Orbit workstation, the Shift also enables the direct handling, removal and storage of bins.

The robots retrieve bins from the grid and place them at the shift workstation, where the goods are stored or retrieved or the bin is removed directly and then returned to the system. With this capacity, the Shift workstation ensures a constant, efficient material flow so that work processes run smoothly, saving time.

Die Roboter (Link) holen Behälter aus dem Grid (Link) und stellen sie am Shift-Arbeitsplatz bereit, wo sie direkt entnommen oder in das System zurückgeführt werden können. Mit dieser Kapazität sorgt der Shift für einen konstanten, effizienten Materialfluss, sodass Arbeitsprozesse reibungslos und zeitsparend gestaltet werden.

Flexible connection to AMR and conveyor technology for fully automated processes

 

The Shift workstation offers a versatile connection option to autonomous mobile robots (AMR) and external conveyor technology, which enables fully automated storage and retrieval. Bins can be loaded in the goods receiving area, placed on pallets and loaded at the Shift workstation. In order picking, they are also delivered to their destination manually or using conveyor technology or AGVs.

These interfaces ensure that bins can be moved seamlessly between different systems without manual intervention. This enables smooth, fully automated processes to be implemented, optimising the material flow in the warehouse and reducing the number of personnel required.

The Orbit workstation does not allow this. In addition, the two workstations differ in their throughput of max. 150 bins for the Shift and max. 400 bins for the Orbit.
