Gridstore-Basic ist die Softwarekomponente für die Lagerverwaltung innerhalb des Gridstore-Lagersystems. Sie wurde speziell entwickelt, um die Anforderungen moderner, automatisierter Lagerprozesse zu erfüllen.
Sie übernimmt Aufgaben wie die Verwaltung von Artikelstammdaten, Beständen und Aufträgen sowie die Steuerung der Behälterbewegungen nach definierten Lagerstrategien wie FIFO. Über die Arbeitsplatzdialoge liefert Gridstore-Basic alle relevanten Informationen zur Einlagerung, Kommissionierung und weiteren Prozessschritten.

Main features of Gridstore-Basic
The software is designed for integration into existing IT structures, in particular ERP and WMS systems, and forms the interface between warehouse management and company-wide processes.
Extensions to include additional workstations, automation components or complex process logic (e.g. separation of B2B and B2C orders) can be realised on a modular basis. Connections to other systems can also be realised with short project runtimes.

Basic functions
- Interface connection:
Gridstore-Basic offers a reliable connection to customer systems such as WMS or ERP. Functions such as article master data maintenance, order management and stock bookings can be integrated.
- Item and bin management:
The software enables the management of bins and articles with different heights and segmentation - up to sixteen compartments per bin are possible. This means that small parts or single-variety items, for example, can be stored efficiently in a very small space. The software also supports the management of batches, best-before dates (BBD) and clients as well as the allocation of packaging units (PU).
- Goods receipt and storage:
Control of goods receipt via workstation dialogues with assignment of bins and recording of the quantities entered. The actual storage is system-guided.
- Manual retrievals & special processes:
Gridstore-Basic processes incoming orders based on available stock and provides the necessary bins automatically. The integrated picking dialogue supports the picking process directly at the workstation with clear instructions on picking, quantity checking and order confirmation. Special orders or returns can also be processed manually and managed directly via the software. - System manager functions:
Management of workstations, prioritisation of orders and configuration of load carriers and interfaces.
Communication with Grid-Control
- Role Distribution:
Gridstore-Basic manages stock levels, orders and storage strategies. Grid-Control handles the physical execution (e.g. robot control).
- Data exchange:
Order data, putaway and picking instructions are transmitted from Gridstore-Basic to Grid-Control and executed there. Communication takes place automatically via a defined system interface.
Inventory & Control Functions
- Inventory data:
Item numbers are linked to inventory indicators. The data is continuously updated and can be used for flexible inventory strategies.
- Permanent Stock Control:
Gridstore-Basic automatically updates stock levels with every warehouse movement. This creates a permanent inventory, ensuring high stock accuracy at all times.

Gridstore-Basic not only provides you with powerful software, but also comprehensive project support for smooth integration into your system landscape. Even before the project starts, we clarify the requirements with you and compare them with the specifications. The subsequent configuration is carried out on the basis of defined specifications.
To ensure smooth operation, we carry out comprehensive tests in advance. This also includes the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), which checks communication with Grid-Control. We train your team individually, either remotely or at your premises.
